Tropical dials offer a unique look formed naturally from ageing, sunlight and other factors. This Rolex Date originally started out as a blue dial but has gone to a beautiful speckled golden brown, with it retaining some blue underneath. It created an unusual tropical ‘ghost’ dial… meaning the Rolex text printed in white on top of the caramel brown dial, disappearing completely in certain natural light.
