White gold extravagance…

We have been obsessed with 18ct white gold dress watches recently (as you can tell). The resurgence is bubbling away under the surface as more people want stealth wealth watches. They fly under the radar and it seems more acceptable for diamonds and bright stones with white metal compared to yellow gold.

The pave setting technique originated in France from the word “paved,” and this jewellery technique was named as such because it resembles a paved road/ design. Factory pave set dials have been under appreciated due to the aftermarket surge of ‘iced out’ watches; however in the right watch it’s quite a remarkable dial to have in a collection. The use of diamonds to form a pattern makes for an interesting stone dial to join the surge of popularity in that area.

The pave set diamond dial has three sapphire markers at 3,6,9 and the AP logo at 12. The movement is an automatic calibre 2130 which can be seen in the royal oak and is very unusual for the cobra/ bamboo style dress watches. The bracelet is a unique beaded design and is very comfortable and fluid on the wrist.
